I didn't have any internet access until I went to uni in 1998, but the computers were on the fourth floor of the library so I only used them twice, I think, and then I left after two terms and there was no more internet access for me until 2000 when I started using easyEverything and then the uni computers at Reading. Thankfully I've barely been offline since then. I'd be lost without tinterwebs.
