1. Who eats more?

Him, despite the fact that he's about half the size I am. - what ankaret said.

2. Who said "I love you" first?

He did, about eight hours after we met. I didn't believe him - partly because I had seen him drink quite an amount of wine and sake that evening - and spent the next two weeks fending off his declarations of love with "No! You're still drunk!"

3. Who is the morning person?

Neither of us, but James hasn't got a choice because he is An Employed, and also because Ruffy licks him until he gets up and provides food.

4. Who sings better?

I don't know. I've got a pretty good voice but James' voice is surprisingly good too. I've never been with anyone who could actually sing before.

5. Who’s older?

Him, by eleven years and four months. Hee. I love it.

6. Who’s smarter?

I don't know...he knows more about a lot of things than I do but that's because a) he is older and b) he's had more opportunities. Still, as he keeps telling me, I'm not to conflate intelligence with knowledge. I think it depends what area you're talking about; anything sciency or engineery or mathematical, it's definitely him, but for things like colour sense and dealing with people (I have studied it like a foreign language) and putting a point across, it's probably me.

7. Whose temper is worse?

Absolutely mine. I've only seen him lose his temper three times in our entire relationship, yet I lose my temper approximately three to seven times a week. He just gets red-faced and walks off, I shout and scream and throw things.

8. Who does the laundry?

Both of us, but mostly him because I forget about it until I run out of knickers.

9. Who does the dishes?

Whoever is more able. It probably winds up being slightly more him, but often we'll do it together.

10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?

Him. I like to be on the left because I am left-handed.

11. Whose feet are bigger?

His.

12. Whose hair is longer?

His, and I would say "but not for long" but my hair has gone from growing ten inches a year to growing about two - three inches a year, so it's a race to see which will happen first: my hair getting as long as his is now, or his hair receding so much that it finally all needs to come off.

13. Who’s better with the computer?

Well, he's a software engineer.

14. Do you have pets?

Yes, three cats (not carts as I originally typed) - Ruffy, our little cowprint elder statesman, Bessie Boo, our magnificent fat black queen, and Saffron, our highly squeaky fuzzy little nightmare who is tabby-and-white with ginger splodges.

15. Who pays the bills?

He does. I have no income.

16. Who cooks dinner?

Hrrm. Whoever is most able, again, though it's often me because I am Good at Cooking.

17. Who drives when you are together?

He does, as I am unable to drive what with dyspraxia and chronic pain and assorted other fun things.

18. Who pays when you go out to dinner?

Him. Unless it's his birthday and I have some money from a commission (please to be commissioning me to do paintings, dudes! I am running very low on cashmoneys!)

19. Who’s the most stubborn?

Me. So very me.

20. Who is the first one to admit when they’re wrong?

Hmmm. I think we're both pretty good at it but I'm probably less likely to need persuading with a relentless assault of Logic.

21. Whose family do you see more?

Mmm. I think mine, simply because my mum lives just down the M11 and his mum lives near Southampton. Having said that, his dad lives even closer than my mum and we still see my Bournemouth-dwelling dad more often.

22. Who named your pet?
He named Ruffy because he got him before he got me, I named Bessie (who is officially called Lady Elspeth Rofflemaow but is mostly called Bess or Bessboo or Boo or Bessie), and we agreed on Saffron together, and then decided two months later that we should have called her Talula. So she gets called Saffy or Saffylula or Lula or OW GET OFF YOU LITTLE MOO.

23. Who kissed who first?

He kissed me. I was really very surprised that he wanted to. Still, he was drunk.

24. Who asked who out?

There wasn't really an asking-out, there was just a getting-together.

26. Who’s more sensitive?

Me, absolutely.

27. Who’s taller?

Him. By quite a lot - I'm 5'8", he's 6'5".

28. Who has more friends?

Me. I think. I'm not sure. I think he's possibly got as many or even more than I have, but he's rubbish at staying in touch with them.

29. Who has more siblings?

We both have a brother and a sister.

30. Who wears the pants in the relationship?

Me, probably, but not so much that you'd notice (cue laughter of everyone going SHE'S JOKING RIGHT?!).
