You got married to the last person you kissed... What would your name be?
Shira Sandler Beckett. Which, oh my god, it is.

Last person to text you?
Anwenwenwenwenwen.

What did you do this afternoon?
I spoke to medical types to confirm I've got nothing to worry about for now, I ate peanut butter on wholemeal sesame-seed bread I baked myself, and I harassed Lools because it's all her own fault for having a little fuzzy head.

When do you plan on having kids or your next kid?
WHEN A MIRACLE OCCURS. Much as I'd love more than one child, I'll be bloody lucky to have one at all and a second sprog would not ever be possible, for various reasons.

Do you know a secret about your last ex that would embarrass them?
I don't think so. She's pretty much an open book.

Can you take a bra off with one hand?
Nope. Dyspraxic over here.

Can you use chopsticks?
Nope. Still dyspraxic.

How old were you when you lost your first tooth?
Three.

Were you a hyper or mellow kid?
I was a very quiet, well-behaved, friendly child who would talk the hind legs off a donkey given the chance. My parents used to bribe me to sit still and quiet for half an hour.

Why did you throw up last?
I honestly haven't a clue. I feel like I need to throw up all the bloody time but I almost never actually throw up, it's like my body refuses to do it even when it really should. The last clear memory I have of throwing up is from about nine and a half years ago.

Last time you were on the phone?
Couple of hours ago.

What's for dinner?
It was a chicken sandwich made with wholegrain mustard on my homemade bread. Then a small bowl of spicy aubergine. Nom.

Ever been to the Statue of Liberty?
No. Never been to Merricka.

Voting for Hilary?
Well, I live in England and am not American so I couldn't have voted at all, but I would have if I had been able to.

How many e-mail addresses do you have?
4. One is my Yahoo one used only for a lipoedema group I'm on, one is my MSN one used only for messaging, one is my LJ one used never ever, and one is my gmail one used for everything else.

Do you HAVE to have brand name stuff?
No. In fact I often prefer not to.

Last time you washed your hair?
Saturday. Wanted to do it today but back and shoulders wouldn't allow it.

Who did you last share a bed with?
Bessie Boo.

Do you like Oreos?
I don't think I've ever had one.

Do you send out "Thank You" cards?
I always intend to but I am basically rubbish at that sort of thing.

Can you ice skate?
No. Nor would I try. I have issues WALKING. <--- this thing

Do you have a brother?
Yes.

Do you know how to change a diaper?
Yes. Not that I've had any chance to use that knowledge in many years.

Do you flip people off while driving?
I don't drive.

What color is your car?
I don't have one, but James' awful beast is a metallic version of this colour: .

Do you keep a planner?
Nope.

Who's your favorite American Idol judge?
I don't watch it.

Do you like to grocery shop?
God, no.

What kind of mood are you in?
One of the ones where you try not to think about the answer to that question because otherwise you'll end up panicking/enraged/crying/depressed ALL AT ONCE.

Last time you cleaned?
Today.

What pills do you take daily?
Metformin, acidophilus, amitriptyline, folic acid.

Do you do your own laundry?
Not usually. I have a mental block with laundry, seriously, so James does it most of the time.

Has someone close to you passed away this year?
Not this year, thankfully.

Baths or showers?
Showers. Sort of. I have to sit on the edge of the bath because I can't stand up long enough for a shower, but I'm too fat to fit in the bath.

Do you take out the trash?
No, James does.

Are you getting engaged any time soon?
Not unless time starts running backwards. Which I really hope does not happen, because my past mostly sucks a lot of unwashed arse.

What's the best part about being single?
I don't know. I've never been single more than a few weeks at a time since I was fifteen.

Paper or Plastic?
Depends what you're using it for, but in general I'll go for paper.

Do you watch "The Hills"?
No. My reasons are threefold: 1) I don't live in the US 2) I have no television 3) from what I have heard/read about it, it wouldn't appeal to me at all.

Last CD you played?
High by New Model Army.

What did you do last Saturday night?
For the first time in months I actually went somewhere; [livejournal.com profile] cabd's post-Strawberry Fair party. It was lovely to see people for a change.

What are you thinking about right now?
[livejournal.com profile] nannyo's fabulous orange dress and [livejournal.com profile] puddingcat coming round on Sunday.

Which one of your friends is going to have the cutest baby?
I would rather not think about other people having children, since it's in my face all the fucking time anyway.

What is the theme of your bedroom?
Sleep and cats.

Wearing any bracelets?
No, I don't like to wear them.

Last thing someone bought for you?
[livejournal.com profile] puzzled_anwen is giving us the money to buy a car battery since ours died completely and we can't afford to replace it.

What are you going to do now?
Finish watching Independence Day and drink some milk.

ION, James still has no job. We can just about manage rent from the tiny amount of work James has had recently, but we can't pay anything else at all; if Dad hadn't insisted on giving us the money for our last electricity bill and council tax we'd have been in deep shit, but that was the last of his spare money. We're down to using our saved-up coppers to buy food, and would have been there several weeks sooner had André not bought us a trolley full of stuff the other week. We're pretty much fucked.
Oh, there's that panic I was trying to avoid.

If I was there, I'd stick a couple of twenties down into your purse...

maybe next year i'll make it back to the uk, but it's TOUGH with the current exchange rate of 320932493024 dollars per quid *laughs*

The exchange rate is pretty terrible for you lot, yes. Great for people in the UK who want to order stuff online from US websites, though! (nb this is not me as I have no money)

Think an American teenager wrote that questionnaire!

I think that's the case with most of them. It makes me laugh, sometimes, they've got questions like "Have you ever kissed someone WITH TONGUES" like ZOMG NO WAI!!!

I think that all the people I've kissed have had tongues.
Would have noticed if they had it missing.

From: [identity profile] redshira.livejournal.com
Ah, but have any of them had tongues plural? I think you'd have noticed that too.
I also like the surveys that want to know if you've ever been drunk, and what you argue about most with your parents, and if you hate school. Cuh. When I was 15 I'd never even heard of The Interwebnets.

We had something at school that was internet-like: in the IT room, all the computers were on a shared network. Which everyone used to chat each other up anonymously.

I think we might have had the internet at home quite early. It was, however, rubbish then. I only started being interested in it in about 1997, which I think was when I was reading Popbitch a lot.

Ahahaha fantastic!

I didn't have any internet access until I went to uni in 1998, but the computers were on the fourth floor of the library so I only used them twice, I think, and then I left after two terms and there was no more internet access for me until 2000 when I started using easyEverything and then the uni computers at Reading. Thankfully I've barely been offline since then. I'd be lost without tinterwebs.

PS I don't think any of them had plural tongues, but they might have just kept one tucked away at the back, mightn't they?

Goodness, I had not realised that things were that problematic financially - are there options of support? CAB, etc? I am sure that you are on top of this really, just shocked.

Unfortunately there are various complications (that I'd rather not go into here) which basically mean we can't get any support - me in particular, because I'm apparently perfectly healthy and capable of looking for work and not at all disabled, according to the DWP...We're just scraping by foodwise, partly due to help from family and friends and partly due to my habit, when James did have work, of stocking up just in case; we're mostly living on homemade wholemeal bread, as we bought a 32kg sack of flour a few months ago. James has become master of the just-before-closing supermarket loitering, when the chickens are reduced to affordable levels, and I can make a chicken stretch for four or five meals. I'm gaining a lot of weight because of all the carbs, but there's nothing I can do about that. As for everything else, well. I'm just glad my dad's helped us keep the electricity on and the council off our back for another few weeks.

Damn. I might have to send you some. That's horrible to be denied Oreos simply because of where you live!!! ;)

They're actually available in every supermarket for less than a quid ;-)
